More and more we are talking about our “boundaries.” We set them as a way to take better care of ourselves. We discern who and what diminishes us in some way and we choose to distance ourselves. To establish our boundaries.
I’d like to offer a note of caution. There are some challenges out there that are intimidating, and we may be tempted to keep them at a distance, even wall them off. And yet, do we ever wonder…if we could just say “yes” to them, they may provide a path forward, and a way to stretch and grow and live our lives more fully.
I have been on the alert and conscious that I need to do both: to create safe and loving boundaries but also to be brave and curious about the scary stuff too.
